Guidelines for Summer 2013 Driver Education
To attend a summer class:
1. check that the student meets the following requirements:
◦is 14 years and 6 months old on the first day of class.
◦lives in or attends a school in Wake County.
◦is enrolled in school - home school, private school or public school.
◦is able to attend all 5 days. Do not register for a class if you will not be available for the entire class.
◦has their own transportation to and from school
◦has read the REGULATIONS at the bottom of the Registration Form before it is signed
2. print the Summer Class Schedule to make your class selections

While students may request class at any high school during the summer, please do NOT list the same dates in June at different schools as there is not time for paperwork transfers. The lead teacher at each high school assigns students to a class and then 6 to 8 weeks after successful completion of class, the student will be assigned to a Behind-The-Wheel instructor. 4. return the registration form
Please do not submit summer Registration Forms before March 28th.
We will accept summer Registration Forms after April 23rd on a first come, first served basis so please make sure you check the schedule for availability before submitting the form.
◦for High School class - return the form to that school's front office no later than April 23, 2013 (for priority registration).
◦for Middle Schools - return the form at the designated location for that school no later than April 18, 2013.
◦for Private, Charter and Home Schools - fax the completed form to 919-662-2628 no later than April 23, 2013 (for priority registration).
◦ALTERNATELY, ALL FORMS MAY BE FAXED OR EMAILED TO JORDAN DRIVING SCHOOL:
◦Fax the form to Jordan Driving School @ 919-662-2628.
◦OR, scan the form and email to jds@jordandriving.com
5. wait for your class assignment via email, post card, or a phone call, depending on the preferred method of the school's ead teacher
◦Notifcations will begin Mid-May for the June classes, with the July and August class notifications following a week or so later.
◦The Lead Teacher at the school will advise you how and when to pay the $45 class fee online.
6. pay the class fee of $45
◦Pay this fee only AFTER you have been assigned to a class, and the Lead Teacher tells you to do so.
◦The preferred method of payment is online. Offline payments must be cash, money order or cashier's check. We cannot accept personal checks. These payment can be mailed to Jordan Driving School or made in person.
◦An Online payment option for summer will not be available until May 13th, and we will not accept money in the office for a summer class until after May 13th.
We accept summer registration as long as there are still openings. As a class fills, we will indicate FULL on the web site, meaning it is no longer available. If you miss the priority time line, go to the summer schedule page and look for classes that are still available. Students who turn in registration forms after April 23 will be assigned to class on a first come, first served basis. Please try to list at least two choices of class.
